The Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Students Law Society, and with support from IPAS-Malawi will conduct simultaneous panel discussions on 28 February 2017 at the following venues;
Blantyre – College of Medicine
Lilongwe _ Kamuzu College of Nursing
Mzuzu _ Mzuzu University
Theme : “Whether Sections 149,150 and 151 of the Penal Code as read with Section 243 of the Penal Code should be declared unconstitutional for violating women’s health, sexual and reproductive health rights”.
The panel discussions which will start at 6pm at all the venues, are part of advocacy to promote international human rights principles and women rights, focusing on sexual and reproductive health rights and access to safe abortion in Malawi.
IPAS- Malawi is implementing the advocacy with funding from the Office of the High Commission on Human Rights.
